Has he actually signed or is this another load of old bollocks and a waste of thread space ?

>>> It's been a thoroughly underwhelming transfer season.

Totally disagree with that. Delighted to get Lanzini, think he has star potential. Feghouli looks absolutely terrific and at the peak of his powers - he's been motm in every game I've seen us play so far! Nordtveit also a great addition. That's three signings already who are very likely improve our first 11 - that's already a great haul. Also new signings Quina and Fletcher have perhaps been among our best performers in the pre-season matches I've seen - my only concern is whether there's the genuine conviction to actually use them in the squad.

Of course it would be stupid to fully judge our activity until the end of the window - most business for most clubs is yet to be done I think.

Absolutely right. Knicker-wetters please take note.

Looks like a bit of a goal hanger in that video.

Re: Jonathan Calleri
According to a Spanish paper/site Barcelona have made an attempt to get in before he has signed. Don't shoot the messenger. If true you'd hope he'd have the sense to realise he'll get fack all game time there & want to move after a season!

Small and south American you say.
Maradonna, Ardiles, Messi, Aguero, Higuain, Lanzini etc etc. Must be shit...

I've read alot of comments from supporters of Bocca and San Paolo who love the bloke and assure us we will love him too.

Fast, works hard and never stops hustling, scores all kinds of goals with head and both feet.

Please let this one happen.

PS: That Rabona in the Daily Mail link gave me a hard on. I think that might have been Tevez's first match back there; talk about stealing his thunder.

South American expert vickery from talksport doesn't rate him for premier league

Re: Jonathan Calleri
3 humps. Thought he scored every three games which isn't bad for a kid. And how many times have you seen Calleri play to come that conclusion?

___

I was waiting for his view- what did he say? He said something similar about Lanzini- was very positive and really rated him but question marks on how he would adapt and deal with the "physical' side of the game...

Re: Jonathan Calleri
I've always thought if you sign three players who will improve your first team then it's been a good window. We will most likely do that. Bring in a top striker and 1 or 2 full backs and it will have been a good window.

Re: Jonathan Calleri
Seen this all before - Barrera, Valencia. Loads of hype.

Where is he going to play? What is he going to do? So he scored an average amount of goals in S America and he's going to suddenly light up our league? Grow up. He MIGHT just about be a half okay squad player at best.

It's just a load of old bollocks and until Gomez/Marko arrive, or an established hitman arrives, we are short of goal scoring options.

camel-with-3-humps 4:50 Sat Jul 30
Re: Jonathan Calleri
AND to top it all off, as Sven points out, he's 'an honest trier'

Fucking great. Can't wait. I'm sure he's going to be fucking brilliant with his underwhelming goal record, shit appraisal from an expert and lightweight frame.
